Mayu Uchiha History Part 1 of 2

History: (i'm lazy... so i'm just going to have like how she survived and her a bit of her childhood and yeahhhh i'll add her other history later cause... i is lazy sorry~ ps... this turned into a story o-o uhh... oh wells i'll fix it later XD; )

Mayu was always been a timid child. Her older brother didn’t ever win the brother of the year award he was quiet harsh. He would always tell Mayu "don’t talk to the other uchiha members... they will only be mean and try to hurt you... since we don’t look like them they just want to get rid of us.." That was implanted into her child mind as she actually was afraid of the other members of the clan. Any time she would interact with anyone she would just get scared and runaway. Takuro was always jealous of Itachi as they were in the same grade. He was so tired of hearing "Itachi is the pride of the uchiha!" or "Itachi makes us so proud!" He was trying to find some ways that could make him stand out... Anything! Looking at his sister mayu he got the bright idea since their mothers genetics were messed up maybe Mayu can activate her sharingan earlier than most! That would surly get him noticed since that was his idea and helped. 

As a result thus begun Mayu's training to become a ninja so to say. Well that is what Takuro said it was anyway, Mayu believing her brother could do no wrong she went along with him. Training only when their parents went out on missions as they would be gone for days. Takuro would train her hard and use harsh methods to push her to her limits. Such as tossing rocks hard, sparing even when she had no knowledge on what to do. Anything to driver her to a corner pushing her to have the will to survive. 

One day during this training Mayu just wanted to rest and eat she was in no mood for this training as she would whine to her brother. He continued on with the training despite her not wanting to. She tried to put up some kind of a fight but the more she tried the more she would fail falling on her but constantly and eventually she was pushed into an corner where she was in the danger of passing out... then she snapped doing anything a child would do throw a tantrum, acting on pure instinct and that activated her sharingan. Out of pure emotion of rage, frustration, she was able to achieve something rare. Takuro was of course happy as can be on cloud 9 even. He did it he made a child activate sharingan! At such an early age and a female even better since the males have a higher ratio of activating their sharingan first.  "Yes i did it! Itachi you’re going down! Now i will be recognized! I thought all of this useless training would be for nothing but it finally worked! My useless sister finally became useful just for this!" Takuro would exclaim out loud out of pure excitement. Mayu listened to her brother shocked and confused but couldn’t do anything as she was too weak from everything. Scrapes a few cuts and bruises would cover her frail body. As she would walk home by herself and lock herself up in her room. 

Mayu would stay in her room not wanting to see her brother she just couldn’t... she didn’t have the heart or courage to face him to ask what he meant... She had to leave to get some fresh air not wanting to go through the front she snuck out of her window and wondered into the forest into an opening in the forest. She wanted to hide herself for a bit as she would climb into a tree carefully as she would cover herself with the leaves and just stayed there eventually falling asleep peacefully. 

The sound... Of Kunai's clashing....??... Where what woke Mayu us as she sat up quietly peeking out of the tree leaves seeing what on earth was going on. As she looked she saw two boys training assuming they were brothers. One looked about her age and another.... who seemed to be a bit older. As she watched what was going on they were training! She looked around and saw targets on the surrounding trees even one behind a rock! 'what is?...' out of pure curiosity she watched. The eldest of the two brothers went every movement he made had a purpose and was necessary, everything was graceful about him...He was able to hit all of the targets with his kunai's! 

"Itachi nii san! That was amazing! you even got the one behind the rock! Now it’s my turn!" The younger brother would exclaim

'Itachi?....' Mayu thought...' T-That means! They are uchihas! I-I I have to leave!' thinking desperately as she made a wrong movement she made a noise alerting Itachi. He tossed a Kunai into the tree she was in cutting the side of her cheek. Mayu was terrified as she took a wrong step falling out of the tree in front of the two brothers. She looked up at them truly terrified. 

"I-I... I'm s-sorry... p-please don’t... h-hurt me!" She exclaimed terrified tears forming in her eyes. She tried to stand up and run away but as luck was on her side she tripped and hit her head on nearby rock passing out. 

Both the Uchiha brothers confused as they looked at the unknown girl didn’t know what to do... Itachi closely examined her seeing the cuts and bruises on her. Even her head was slightly bleeding from the impact of hitting the rock. He couldn’t just leave a child who was just about sasuke's age out here in the woods when it’s just about to get dark. Picking her up he motioned Sasuke to follow him as they took her home, trying to sneak her in. As father wouldn’t approve bring an outsider inside the uchiha household. Right when they opened the front door their mother greeted them. 

"Sasuke you know Itachi has academy homework to d- Oh my goodness what happened to this poor girl?!" she touched Mayu's head gently her mother instincts kicking in looking concerned. 

"Itachi... she is hurt.. poor thing lets go take her and bandage her up. Sasuke you go and wash up getting ready for dinner, your father will be home soon" smiling gently

Itachi smiled slightly and nodded taking Mayu back to the extra bedroom in their home. As he would get supplies out remembering all he would need from the classes he had about first aid. Waiting for his mother he looked at Mayu concerned it was Itachi’s kind nature. After a few minutes Itachi's mother would come and start bandaging up Mayu. Finishing she looked at Itachi. 

"Dinner is ready Itachi and your father is home come and eat" 

"I'm sorry mother but I think I’ll eat here and keep an eye on her... till she wakes up" He looked up at her and smiled slightly as she nodded understanding knowing how Itachi is. 

Hours would pass by as it was night time. 

Mayu groaned slowly sitting up holding onto her head feeling a sharp pain. She looked up and looked around seeing she wasn’t in the forest... or at home she was in a unknown area. She was already scared. 

"Ah your finally awake” Itachi said quietly.

Mayu gasped as she turned seeing it was who she saw before... Itachi... Uchiha... She was now shaking she heard terrifying stories about him from her Takuro... Itachi would treat mayu the worst out of everyone in the clan. As a result she jumped out of the bed tripping over the bed sheets. She tried to leave 

Itachi stood up worried "w-wait what are you doing?" He walked over to her 

"n-no! S-Stay way! Y-you’re just going t-t hurt me!" She yelled as she walked back... backing herself into the corner of the room as Itachi kept walking near her but keeping a small distance. He was trying to be gentle as possible seeing she was afraid... 

Mayu felt tears slowly escaping her eyes as she looked at Itachi terrified and used anger to try and look tough

"I-I said S-stay A-away!" She exclaimed activating her new sharingan 

Itachi's eyes widened "w-what?! S-Sharingan?!... What is your name?..." He would ask calmly 

"M-Mayu..... U-Uchiha... A-And... I know.... I-I don’t look like... A-an uchiha.... I'm a-A disgrace to the c-clan... and y-you’re going... t-to get rid of... a p-pest like me right?! s-so stay away!" She yelled

Itachi was shocked where on earth did she get an idea like that?... It was true she doesn’t look like an uchiha but... he wouldn’t dare or even think about harming her because of that.

"Who told you that?" He replied calmly a gentle look in Itachi’s eyes knowing he had to be calm and gentle since Mayu was terrified.

"M-My brother.... T-Takuro....and... h-he said... if he didn’t train me... I-I couldn’t defend my-my-myself.... "

'Takuro...' Itachi thought narrowing his eyes 'Spreading lies again?... and to your younger sister... ‘Itachi sighed slightly looking up at Mayu. 

Mayu felt weak as she slid down the wall holding on to her head her sharingan deactivating automatically she groaned in pain. 

Itachi immediately ran to Mayu's side crouching down to her level holding on to her helping her sit up. 

"Are you alright?" Itachi was clearly worried 

"ngh! M-My head... hurt... and I’m sore..." Mayu weakly spoke not wanting to look up at Itachi... Her body was shaking violently as she was still terrified 

Itachi picked her up Mayu surprised started flail around trying to get out of his grip 

"H-Hey l-let me g-go!" She hit Itachi’s shoulder but she had no force in her hits as they didn’t feel like anything. 

Itachi chuckled slightly at Mayu's attempt to try to escape her hits were like nothing 

Mayu blushed out of embarrassment "Sh-Shut up!" She snapped 

Itachi set Mayu back on the bed coving her with the blanket. He touched her forehead. 

"You have a slight fever. You need your rest so you don’t get worse. So don’t push yourself and just sleep" He smiled gently at her. 

Mayu was completely surprised as she looked at Itachi looking into his eyes. He wasn’t at all... like Her brother talked about... He was the complete opposite... She was still scared. As she looked away from him clenching the bed sheets looking at the wall. 

'He’s... not like what Takuro said... but he could me lying... just.. part of me hope he isn’t... He's acting like an older brother... kind of like how Takuro used to act... it’s... c-comforting...' Mayu thought as she closed her eyes falling asleep.

Itachi looked at Mayu seeing she fell asleep as he smiled to himself as it was time for him to go to bed himself as he left the room to go to sleep.

The following morning the sunshine peaked through the window as it woke mayu up as she sat up and looked outside.. 'I need to go...' she thought getting up and walking towards the window slowly opening it. She was just about to leave. 

"Where are you going?" 

Jumping she turned back and saw itachi standing in the door way his arms crossed looking at her. 

"I.... Have to go... i um... have to go... t-train with.. my brother..." She mumbled but Itachi was still able to hear her. Mayu looked back outside scared still.. but not as bad as yesterday for some reason... 

"I'll go with you" Itachi said the way he said it was like he is going no matter what Mayu wanted. Itachi was more curious on how Takuro's method of ‘training’ was and how well he treated his sister... His brotherly instincts kicking in. Mayu looked back at him wide eyed but fell back into her shell as she rubbed her arm noticing the Band-Aids and bandages she was now wearing... did they do that?.... She sighed as she jumped out the window expecting Itachi to follow and that he did. 

(omg so much writing OTL if you read this far then bless your soul reading my stuff I don’t deserve such kindness TTWTT)

Mayu was leading the way back to her house Itachi following behind her. They were both silent. Mayu scratched her arm slightly as this felt so awkward.

‘why did he have to follow… why.. unless! He is planning to kill me! I-its ok… Takuro will protect me! We are almost home!’ She thought desperately

As they stopped in front of mayu’s house

Itachi looked up and looked at her house it was out in the outskirts in the village which he wasn’t sure why… as he didn’t question anything.

“Are your parents’ home?” Itachi asked lightly

“N-no… they um… are out on a mission…it’s just me and… my brother…” Mayu spoke quietly as she looked at the front door and saw it opening. Her brother stepped outside and looked up seeing… Itachi….

“Itachi… what are you doing here?” He narrowed his eyes his voice was empty.

Mayu was surprised she never heard her brother talk in that kind of tone before! It was so… odd….

“I brought your sister back. She passed out after hitting her head on a rock yesterday and I took her home and had my mother and I bandage her as she stayed at our house since it was late when she woke. “ Itachi spoke calmly sensing how he was not wanted there.

Mayu looked at Itachi surprised he helped bandage her?... and his mother?... but… he was supposed to… she was confused as she put a hand on her head.

Itachi looked over at Mayu as he bend down to her level as he was about to touch her concerned

Takuro rushed over and slapped Itachi’s hand away

“Don’t touch my sister!” He growled he grabbed Mayu’s wrist roughly dragging her into the forest

“We have to train mayu” He spoke harshly

Mayu winced at how rough Takuro was being as she looked back at Itachi for a second before being dragged away.

Itachi watched as Takuro took his sister away. He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes he hated seeing how rough he was to his sister no child deserved such treatment and their parents are away…  He looked at the ground slightly then looked back up following after them in secret.

‘I need to see what this kind of training is..’ He thought to himself.

“OW ow ow Takuro y-your hurting me! “ Mayu exclaimed with tears in her eyes.

Takuro let go of mayu’s arm as he looked at Mayu coldly. She took a step back scared not knowing what to do.. Her brother was mad at her for some reason.

“Activate your Sharingan… We are going to train and here you’ll need this” Takuro tossed Mayu a kunai.

Mayu didn’t catch it as she let it fall in front of her. Mayu was scared it was a real kunai… she picked it up shaking  a bit looking up at Takuro. They never used real weapons before why was he starting to use real ones? Mayu was nowhere near ready!

“T-Takuro… why? I don’t know how to use a kunai…” she admitted as she kept staring at the kunai in her hand.

Takuro looked back at Mayu his eyes held no emotions jealously and anger consumed him as he didn’t speak. He dashed towards Mayu taking a swing at her. Mayu yelped as she leaned back Takuro cut some of clothes as Mayu fell on her butt.

“Get up. This is training you know you can’t be a baby. This is what the other Uchiha would do to you if given the chance! Defend yourself!” Takuro exclaimed loudly.

Mayu’s eye watered slightly as she stood up shaking holding on the kunai getting into what she thought was a fighting stance. Takuro was too fast for her as he dashed towards her slashing at her with his kunai and mayu dodged to the best of her ability. She was too unskilled with her dodging as she was getting cut after cut from Takuro. Eventually she tried to use the kunai to block an attack but it was knocked out of her hand as she was cornered as she fell onto her butt backing up into a tree. Terrified this was the harshest Takuro has ever been..

“B-Brother please… Stop this is.. enough training!” Mayu pleaded tears falling down her cheeks.

Takuro just looked at Mayu with no emotion as he walked closer to her kunai in hand still.

“S-Someone.. Please… H-Help” She pleaded as she closed her eyes getting ready for the attack but.. it never came instead she heard the sound of two Kunai’s clashing. Mayu slowly opened her eyes and saw… Itachi!

“That is enough Takuro back down” Itachi’s voice was calm but you could hear a bit of anger in his voice.

 His sharingan was activated. Not backing down Takuro tried to overpower Itachi but it was the other way around as Itachi knocked the kunai out of Takuro’s hand holding it to Takuro’s throat. Takuro felt a sweat drop from the side of his cheek as he stepped back backing down.

Itachi put away his kunai and looked back at the crying Mayu as he picked her up walking away with her in his arms.

“She will come back when your parents come home” Itachi spoke not looking back at Takuro leaving him alone.

Itachi couldn’t believe Takuro’s actions to stoop so low and to put his sister in danger she is a child! You’re supposed to treat your siblings with respect, care and love for them like he does with Sasuke.

Mayu’s body was shaking from the fright of everything that happened and Itachi of all people came to her aid… Itachi kept carrying her taking her into the forest to the area where they first interacted as he set her down gently in front of a tree. He took out some bandages from his pocket. As he started to bandage Mayu’s fresh cuts, both stayed silent.

Mayu looked at Itachi as she hesitated but looked down at the ground.

“W-Why did you do that?.... Wh-Why are you being… so kind to me?.... I was told… All of the clan… would be out to… hurt me… since.. our family are treated l-like outsiders…I don’t… understand” her voiced cracked.

Itachi looked up at Mayu confused did she really think all of that? Why would a child… think of such things… that is not what anyone should think about…

“Just because you don’t look like an uchiha doesn’t change you are one. I have no reason to harm you. You haven’t done anything; I don’t even see why anyone would try to harm you. Even if you look different “Itachi smiled slightly setting his hand on Mayu’s head ruffling her hair slightly

Mayu’s eyes widened fresh tears fell from her eyes as she was wiping them away. Itachi wasn’t at all like Takuro described he was the complete opposite! She was wrong Takuro was wrong. She felt like… for the first time she could actually trust some one

“How often do your parents go on missions?” He asked curious.

“… I um…pretty often… lately at least… so.. it’s just.. Me and Takuro… and we only train when mom and dad.. .are out on a mission..” Mayu admitted quietly.

Itachi looked at Mayu thinking for a moment on what to do… he can’t leave Mayu with her brother with this kind of ‘Training’ but he doesn’t know Mayu well enough for her to stay with his family during those days… He was silent thinking.

“How about when your parents are on missions you come to my house and hang out with me and Sasuke till it is time to go back home? During the day.. I’ll be at the academy so you’ll be with Sasuke and my mother till I get home”

Mayu looked at Itachi confused by his sudden actions.. as she looked up at him seeing if he was telling the truth.. which he was he didn’t see anything in his eyes to tell her otherwise.

“B-but…does this mean…I won’t train with my brother anymore?... If… I don’t th-then… can you?... I saw how well you are and… you even over powered my brother! I-I know… this might sound selfish… b-but if you can train me… i-instead… please!” Mayu bowed her head

Itachi was taken back she still wanted to train? She didn’t even reject his idea. Heh what a weird girl. Itachi laughed slightly as he looked at Mayu smiling as he ruffled her hair again.

“Sure sounds good to me” He smiled at Mayu agreeing          

(time skip a year here)

“Mayu! Itachi! Come over here and let me take a picture” Itachi’s mother called them to come outside.

“Coming!” Mayu yelled as she ran outside smiling with Itachi following right behind her. Sasuke was out doing some training with Sasuke and Itachi’s father so it was just Mayu and Itachi .

“ohhh you got a camera? That’s so cool!” Mayu exclaimed happily as she was looking around where they could take a picture.

Itachi had his hands in his pocket watching Mayu smiling to himself. She changed quite a bit in a year after they agreed Mayu would be around Sasuke and Himself when her parents were out on a mission. Sure it was a rocky start but it would be like that for any child. After about a few months Mayu was slowly getting used to it and showing her personality more. All of them made many fond memories together. Even training had some fun moments. Itachi wouldn’t give them up for the world. Spending time with Mayu and his precious brother Sasuke, Mayu was more like another sibling since she was the same age as Sasuke.

The winter wind blew slightly it was fall it was starting to change into winter. Winter also met Mayu’s birthday was soon. This is the whole reason why his mother is taking a picture. Itachi had a gift already he just needed a picture. Last year Mayu never told them her birthday till after it passed so he was going to make sure he wouldn’t miss it this time.

“Alright you two just stand in front of those trees right over there it’s a perfect spot!” Itachi’s mother smiled sweetly

Mayu and Itachi stood in the area she pointed at. Itachi was too tall as mayu was looking up at him forgetting how tall he was. Itachi looked down at Mayu and chuckled slightly forgetting as he crouched down to mayu’s height and had his hand rest on Mayu’s shoulder so he was semi hugging her. Mayu had her hands in front of her smiling shyly.

“1…2…3 cheese!” Itachi’s mother said as Mayu and Itachi both smiled she took the picture. Then took a second one just in case!

“Aright you’re done!” She said happily as she went back inside the house.

“That was random wanting to take a picture Itachi!” Mayu stated as she walked in a small circle. They had a bit of time before Mayu had to go home as she looked up at Itachi with that look in her eyes. Itachi looked at her and chuckled a bit.

“Alright I guess since we have a bit of time we can go t-“

“Yay! We get to train a bit! Haha I bet I’m catching up to you Itachi!” Mayu exclaimed happily

Mayu then made her way into the forest to the same area they would train as Itachi walked behind her smiling to himself entertained by how energetic she is now. She was always refreshing to be around which made Itachi relax and forget about studies it was a good change.

When they got to the training area they did the usual practicing kunai and shuriken throwing, chakra control, simple jutsu, even the shuriken jutsu that Mayu already learned how to do since it was now easier for her to do with her sharingan that now has two tomoe. It was developing well with Itachi’s help and guidance.

They training for about 2 hours as the sun started to set and the cold was setting it. Mayu shivered slightly as the sweat was evaporating plus the breeze would make anyone get the chills.

“Its time for you to go home Mayu” Itachi said as he looked at the sun setting.

“B-But I don’t want to go yet!....” Mayu puffed up her cheeks pouting slightly

Itachi looked at Mayu smiling slightly as he walked over to her ruffling her hair. That now has become a habit of Itachi’s like how he would poke Sasuke’s forehead, He would ruffle Mayu’s Hair.

“It will be tomorrow before you know it and I don’t have to go to the Academy tomorrow so you can come right over. Then you Sasuke and me can go to the park” He smiled knowing how to talk to Mayu. Itachi didn’t have to go to the Academy because they were doing preparations for him to graduate already. He would be assigned to a team then he would have to go on missions so he won’t have much time to spend with the two of them.

“Alright! I’ll see you tomorrow Itachi!”  In the spur of the Moment she hugged him catching Itachi a bit off guard since she never did that before as he smiled and hugged her back as she let go then ran off towards her house.

Having to go back to his own house he walked back. After a few minutes he got home and walked into the kitchen.

“Did you get them mother?” Itachi questioned lightly seeing his mom was in the kitchen as she looked back at Itachi smiling big and nodded.

“Of course I did! And I even got them in the perfect size I left the picture on your desk Itachi.”  She chimed

Itachi smiled and nodded “Thank you mother”

Itachi walked to his room as Sasuke wasn’t back yet. He hopes Father isnt being too harsh on Sasuke. That was something Itachi always worried about. Itachi turned on the light and walked to his desk seeing the small picture or pictures as there was multiple small pictures guess his mother thought he needed more just in case he messed up. Itachi opened the drawer pulling out something. It was a gold heart shaped locket as he set it on the desk as he looked at it smiling slightly. It was simple he didn’t know if she would like it but it was a good idea to him anyways. As he opened the locket and started to cut the picture in the right shape to fit into the locket.

It was a good thing his mother got more than one copy of the picture… He tried to cut the first picture with a kunai… it was to small. Second attempt he cut the actual photo. So many attempts Itachi didn’t think something so simple could be so hard… As he was on his second to last attempt using a pair of scissors.. He was being very careful… he almost… He got it!

“Finally…” He exhaled tired as it was test time… to insert the picture into the locket… He held his breath without even knowing…. As it fit! Itachi was done! As he leaned back in his desk chair looking up at the ceiling. All that was left was to wrap it… Itachi got a small box and set the locket in it and got wrapping paper and attempted to wrap. Sure it wasn’t the pretties but it was something. He would have his mother put a bow on it tomorrow.

“Itachi dinner!” His mother announced as he stood up smiling looking at the present once more before going to eat dinner with his family.

The next morning Mayu came over to Itachi’s and Sasuke’s home around noon a bit later than usual as she was having a small celebration with her family since it was her birthday and they wanted to have a bit of fun. She entered through the front door taking off her shoes as she found Sasuke and Itachi in the Kitchen helping clean up.

“I’m here!” She announced happily

“Mayu!” Sasuke grinned as he ran over to his friend as they started to chat a bit. Then ran off to play a bit in the living room with some of Sasuke’s toys.

Itachi chuckled slightly at the sight of those two they got along well but even fought as well like siblings. As he finished helping his mother clean-up he walked to his room and grabbed the small box and put it in his pocket. His mother already put a bow on it now he just had to wait to give it to Mayu.  He walked back to the living room and he could hear Sasuke and Mayu bickering about something… he rolled his eyes playfully as he looked at the two.

“Itachi! Sasuke said that his hero beat mine but I know mine is better!”

“No way Nii-San! Believe me and not Mayu you know I’m right!”

“Nu uh!”

“uh huh!”

As they two started to argue again…

“Aright you two if you’re done arguing… lets go to the park” He smiled slightly at the two as that immediately stopped there arguing as they raced to get ready. Mayu and Sasuke would always fight for Itachi’s attention and this was no different racing each other. As they waited outside for Itachi.

“Bye be safe you 3!” Itachi and sasuke’s mother yelled out.

The three of them made their way to the park in the village other children were at the park as Sasuke and Mayu separated themselves from Itachi for once and started to play with the other children for hours as it was now starting to get a bit late. As Mayu ran back to Itachi who was now sitting on the swings as she was swinging next to him.  Sasuke was still playing with the other boys there.

“Thank you for taking us to the park Itachi I’m sorry we didn’t include you in playing with us..” Mayu looked at the ground a bit. It was easy to hear the sadness in her voice.

“no its fine I liked watching Sasuke and you play with the other kids. You wouldn’t have done that last year” he admitted slightly

Mayu stopped swinging and looked at Itachi and nodded smiling shyly

“yeah… but it’s thanks to you for helping so… So thank you Itachi…. It means a lot to me I was glad to have met you” She smiled happily

Itachi was taken back a bit but was happy hearing those words as he nodded and stood up reaching for the box in his pocket. Mayu looked at his actions a bit confused. Itachi then pulled out the small present and looked at Mayu smiling gently as he handed it to her.

“Happy Birthday Mayu”

Mayu stood up her eyes were wide and shining she was speechless she looked at Itachi then back at the present Itachi remembered… even though she didn’t mention her birthday again… She felt her eyes watering as she was so happy… As she slowly opened the box unwrapping it and pulled out the heart shaped locket. She opened her mouth to say something but… nothing would come out… As she kept staring at the locket, Itachi chuckled as he walked over and opened the locket showing her the picture inside. That was then Mayu let the tears all down her face.

“It… It’s the picture we took! I-Itachi I don’t know… w-what to say..” Mayu cried happy tears

Itachi bent down to Mayu’s level and wiped the tears away smiling and chuckled a bit as he grabbed the locket and up it on Mayu. Mayu grabbed the locket and held it in her hand and she looked at Itachi who was still at her level as she wrapped her arms around his neck hugging him tightly.

She sniffled a bit “Thank you Itachi… I-Im so happy… I didn’t think… you would… remember… I’m so happy… thi-this is the best present… I’m… so lucky”

Itachi smiled and hugged Mayu back as he held her in his arms for a few second before letting her go and stood up ruffling her hair smiling.

“I was happy to do it I’m glad you like the gift heh now… its late so go home before it gets too dark ok?”

Mayu took a small step back and nodded smiling

“Alright! I’ll treasure this forever! I love it! Thank you again Itachi! I’ll see you tomorrow!” she spoke happily as she waved at Itachi then at Sasuke as she left and made her way home.

Itachi motioned towards Sasuke as he understood and ran over to Itachi holding his hand as they started to make their own way home since it was almost time for dinner after all. Itachi smiled as he looked down at Sasuke listening to his stories and how he was playing with the other kids. Itachi was happy Mayu enjoyed her gift and believed she would treasure that locket which made him feel at ease knowing he did a good job.
